Toryglen near Hampden Park in Glasgow, Scotland boasts the first full sized indoor artificial football pitch. The GreenFields Sports Turf System was built to the highest standards for Football Turf.

The projects inception was in July 2004 when Scottish Finance Minister Andrew Kerr announced that £49.5 million is allocated to build six sports facilities across Scotland. Andrew Kerr made the statement; “Our vision of a network of world class training and competition facilities across Scotland is fast becoming a reality”. The official opening of the Toryglen facility was in April 2009 and is deemed a big success.

Having top quality indoor facilities like this one will mean that we can train and play all year round. Congratulations to everyone who has been involved in building Toryglen. I really do hope that it is the first of many.”

Many more positive comments have been received from visitors who are astounded at the quality of the football facility. The artificial football pitch at Toryglen and other regional football centres will play an important role in the development of the game in Scotland.
