Six Months of Success for Lancaster Girls’ Grammar on Their New Hockey Pitch
Thursday, April 7 2016 – Lancaster Girls’ Grammar School has enjoyed a successful six months on their new GreenFields TX SW sand dressed hockey pitch.
Quoted as the “fifth best state school in the North of England” by the Sunday Times, Lancaster Girls’ Grammar was established in 1907, celebrating its centenary year in 2007. The school’s long history means that Lancaster Girls’ have a very successful track record in regards to their sports teams, with the school coming second in the Lancashire Hockey Tournament of the 2014-2015 school year. Currently with approximately 890 students in admission – including sixth form pupils, the new pitch is the perfect tool to ensure the long term continuation of this success for the girls.
